Mystery Solved: Odd Laws Virginia

While this one has recently been repealed in 2020, having premarital sex had been against the law in the state. In fact, consensual premarital sex had been considered a Class 4 misdemeanor with a fine of up to $250. But Virginia isn't the only state with such a law. 
Fornication, defined as having sex with another unmarried person, is still a crime in Idaho and Mississippi, both with a possible six-month jail sentence.
