All Aboard! It's Time for a Mini Mystery

Welcome aboard, investigator. We need your help in solving a mini-mystery. Folsom, a sailor aboard a ship has been murdered in his bunk. The Captain vouches for all of the crew members except four new sailors that just joined the crew on this trip. All four claim to have had extensive seagoing experience. Below are their statements. Based solely on these statements, which sailor would you bring in for further questioning?

Sal the Salor said:
"No idea what happened to him or what this is all about. I was below deck securing cargo crates in the hold."

Sailor Scoggins said:
​"I was busy cleaning the kitchen at the front of the ship. Don't know nothing, except he was rude."

Sailor Shubert said:
​"I was asleep in my cabin after I finished cleaning the head. Didn't hear anything at all. Poor fella. He was always in a terrible mood."

Strickland the Sailor said:
​"I was over on the port side swabbin' the deck, not bothering anybody. And, I intend on continuing to do so."
