The Writer's End

​  North Pole Newsletter writer Eban Greenhat was found dead at his computer. Detective Lashley noticed Eban had apparently been writing his latest gossip column for the newsletter when he died and that the last thing typed was "z;fk. gll, \d ljg" Apparently, a random string of keys created when his lifeless body fell on his keyboard.

  Detective Lashley questioned the people closest to Greenhat and found several suspects: Eban's ex-wife, Ellie, who wanted more alimony and the candy cane farm; Eban's current girlfriend, April who seemed to miss his Christmas caroling royalties more than him; and Eban's brother, Marty, was happy his brother was gone. The brothers have been feuding for years over a tree-topper family heirloom. Lastly, Jimi, the underpaid and underappreciated assistant to Eban at the newsletter.

  Detective Lashley concluded his investigation and quickly made an arrest - who did he take into custody?
